Configuring your checkout
Secure Sites SIM (Authorize.Net)
Setting up Secure Sites SIM for Authorize.Net
Before you begin you should completely set up Authorize.Net as explained on the previous page. Secure Sites SIM is an alternative for users that do not have PHP capability on their web hosting plan. Secure Sites SIM only works when Authorize.Net has been configured correctly.

DO NOT LET THE CURSOR fall to the next line. It must remain at the end of the top line in the box.

Sending the correct files to Secure Sites
RealCarts sister company is RealWebGuy.net (or should we say brother company?). RealWebGuy.net is a Verio reseller and therefore can host your SIM PHP pages on Verios SecureSites.com. The pages you need to send to Secure Sites can be found in your current stores cart folder and are named as follows:
- rscsimlib.php
- rscsimdata.php
- sspay-sim.php
- sspay-sim-test.php
Click here to send these files to us. Once we have received them and published them to the SecureSites.com web site you will be able to process transactions.
Secure Sites AuthNet SIM FAQ
- Who is Secure Sites? Secure Sites is part of NTT/Verio, one of the nations largest ISPs.
- Is Secure Sites really secure? Yes. SecureSites.com is encypted with SSL encryption. It is just as secure (if not more so) then the secure server your web hosting ISP may have.
- Will I have to change my hosting company to Secure Sites? No. The only pages that will actually be hosted on secure sites are the ones we named above: rscsimlib.php, rscsimdata.php, sspay-sim.php and sspay-sim-test.php. All of the rest of your pages can remain with your existing web host.
- What do I enter for the Secure Server URL on the server tab of the checkout wizard? You may not need to enter anything in the Secure Server URL field. Unless your shopping cart itself is located on an address that begins with https:// then this value should be left blank. This is NOT where you enter the Authorize.Net URL. The Authorize.Net URL stays in the Form URL field.
AuthNet SIM Recommended practices
- From time to time you should generate a new Transaction Key, enter it in the User Fields section of RealCart and republish your store sending us the files named above. This is explained on the previous page.
- You may want to change your transaction key and republish your site after sending us the files. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT IF YOUR ISP DOESNT SUPPORT PHP ON THEIR SERVERS.
Testing your Secure Sites configuration
Temporarily set your Secure Order Provider to Secure Sites AuthNet SIM (TEST) as described in the section above titled: Configuring RealCart for Secure Sites AuthNet SIM. Now you will be able to test transactions without actually letting money change hands.
