Configuring RealCart to use WorldPay

Configuring your checkout for WorldPay is as easy as following these steps:
  • Start RealCart.
  • Open the Checkout Wizard by clicking the Cash Register button on RealCart’s large toolbar.
  • Click the Server tab.
  • Select Order Provider for the server type.
  • In the Order Provider pull-down menu choose WorldPay Jr..
  • Enter the Installation ID in the appropriate field.
  • Click OK (or Next > if configuring for the first time.)
  • Publish your store.

Changing the WorldPay currency in RealCart

If you need to change the WorldPay currency in RealCart™ just follow these steps. (The default currency is United States Dollars or USD. If you want to accept payment in US Dollars there is no need to change it.)

  1. Start the shopping cart program.
  2. Select Options from the Tools Menu.
  3. Click the User Fields tab.
  4. Locate the UserField called: WorldPayCurrency and double-click it or click it once and click the Edit button.
  5. Enter the 3 digit WorldPay Currency Code replacing the default of “USD” making sure you do not add any spaces or carriage returns before or after the code. Add only the 3 digit code.
  6. Click OK. Click OK again.
Keep in mind that the customer will be able to choose a different currency on the secure credit card entry page. The currency you specify in RealCart is simply the default currency. If you reside outside the continental USA then you should consider opening a WorldPay account. You will automatically be able to offer 3 different currencies for your customer to choose from when you have a WorldPay account.

RealCart offers full support for users of the Authorize.Net or WorldPay gateways. Look into one of these gateways or one of the other compatible gateways RealCart works with.

How WorldPay works

When your customer buys something from you she will be prompted to enter her contact info upon clicking the checkout button or checkout link. After entering address and telephone and clicking the Next > button a new window will pop up bearing the secure icon (a padlock for MSIE users, a key for Netscape users) The customer will then enter her credit card into this secure browser as well as choose which currency she wants to use to pay for her order and finally click the order button.

Both you and the customer receive an email from WorldPay informing you both of the transaction. At this point you should verify that this is a legit order by logging into your WorldPay account online. If you are convinced of it’s validity then you are free to fill the order. Once a week your sales are automatically deposited into your company bank account.

If you do not receive an email you should log in to your WorldPay account online and check your Settings.
