Configuring your checkout
PayPal
RealCart recommends that you use Authorize.Net if you are located in the continental USA or WorldPay if you are not. Either gateway takes only a few days to completely set up. If you prefer to stick with PayPal for now just follow these steps:
- Start RealCart.
- Open the Checkout Wizard by clicking the Cash Register button on RealCart’s large toolbar.
- Click the Server tab.
- Select Order Provider for the server type.
- In the Order Provider pull-down menu choose PayPal.
- Enter the registered email address you used to join PayPal in the appropriate field.
- Click OK (or Next > if configuring for the first time.)
- Publish your store.
Note: You will also want to make sure that the email address you defined for Contact #4: Cart Order Email in the Shop Wizard is added to your PayPal account.
RealCart offers full support for users of the Authorize.Net, WorldPay or PayPal gateways. Look into one of these gateways or one of the other compatible gateways RealCart works with.
Using PayPal and a Secure Order Provider simultaneously
You can use your favorite payment gateway like Authorize.net, WorldPay or others as well as still accepting PayPal payments by installing the PayPal Plug-In. Once you install the
Plug-In simply choose your payment gateway from the Secure Order Provider list as described on this page.
