BluePay
RealCart suggests that you use BluePay if you are located in the continental USA. If your business resides outside the USA you should consider WorldPay. If you already have a merchant account and payment gateway other than BluePay you can check out our official list of supported payment gateways.
NOTE:
RealCart must be installed on an SSL secure server in order to use BluePay.

Configuring RealCart to use BluePay
Configuring your checkout for BluePay is as easy as following these steps:
- Start RealCart.
- Open the Checkout Wizard by clicking the Cash Register button on RealCarts large toolbar.
- Click the Server tab.
- Select Order Provider for the server type.
- In the Order Provider pull-down menu choose BluePay Web Link (Live URL) or BluePay Web Link (TEST URL) (Depending on whether or not you want to be in TEST mode.)
- Enter the BluePay Login ID in the appropriate field.
- Click OK (or Next > if configuring for the first time.)
- Publish your store to the SSL secure area of your web site. (Ask your web hosting company if you dont know where your SSL space is located.)
Configuring BluePay to use RealCart
All that is needed to finish setup is to log in to your BluePay administration screen by going to http://BluePay.com
- Login to your BluePay account at http://BluePay.com.
- Click the email settings button (next to last button on the top right of your screen).
- Check all three of the checkboxes as shown here:
- Submit the changes to your email settings.
- Log off.
You are now ready to test RealCart using BluePays TEST system.
Live or TEST?
The BluePay TEST system is designed to allow you to test your configuration without actually charging your credit card. This is accomplished by using test credit card numbers. Here are the numbers and what they will simulate:
The BluePay Production system is designed only for real transactions. Do not use this system for testing. Use the test system.
How BluePay works
When the customer decides to pay for their order she will enter her billing information and credit card number and then click the order button. Once the customer completes the transaction with RealCart both you and your customer receive an email from BluePay informing you both of the transaction.
At this point you should verify that this is a legitimate order. (Make sure it isnt a fake email.) If you are convinced of its validity then you are free to fill the order. Once a day your sales are automatically deposited into your company bank account.
If you do not receive an email you should log in to BluePays Merchant Login Area and go into your email settings and check all three of the checkboxes as shown above.
About the response pages
If you do not have access to cgi capabilities on your web server dont panic. There is no need to try to find a new ISP. Although BluePay supports return posting to cgi scripts it is not mandatory that you utilize this feature. If your business resides outside the USA you should consider WorldPay as BluePay only works in the USA.
RealCart offers full support for users of the BluePay or WorldPay gateways. Look into one of these gateways or one of the other compatible gateways RealCart works with.
