Choosing a secure payment provider
RealCart suggests that you use one of the secure order providers if you are even a little serious about selling on the web. Since it costs nothing to start accepting PayPal it is a natural first choice while you patiently explore other options like Authorize.Net or WorldPay.
Configuring your checkout for a secure order provider is as easy as following these steps:
- Start RealCart.
- Open the Checkout Wizard by clicking the Cash Register button on RealCart’s large toolbar.
- Click the Server tab.
- Select Order Provider for the server type.
- In the Order Provider pull-down menu choose the order provider of your choice.
- Enter the login, vendor, merchant or other “html form ID” as specified by your payment gateway.
- Click OK (or Next > if configuring for the first time.)
It is MUCH easier to open an Authorize.Net account than it is to change ISPs. If you cannot utilize our Free cgi form mailers then you should open an Authorize.Net account if you can afford a one time $297.00 USD setup fee. If your business resides outside the USA you should consider WorldPay as AuthNet only works in the USA.
RealCart offers full support for users of the Authorize.Net or WorldPay gateways. Look into one of these gateways or one of the other compatible gateways RealCart works with. For your convenience we have listed the payment gateways that RealCart works with and have listed them in order of utility. (The ones that work the best are listed first.)

If you do not see your payment gateway listed above that doesn’t necessarily mean that the gateway is not a supported gateway. To be absolutely sure if RealCart supports your payment gateway check our official list.
