Customizing your store
Sorting the All Products page
Many of our users have asked how they can sort their All Products Page. The best way we can think of is to use this custom department page. This page is provided as is and is available for you to customize and play with to your heart’s content. This page is based on the JavaScript available here from The JavaScript Source. We do not offer technical support for this page or for the script it contains. It is provided as a starting point for you to create your own sortable All Products page.
Get the Template
The first step would be to download the template. Once you have downloaded the template unzip the file with WinZip. The zip file contains a new department template for use with your All Products department.
- Place the dept-sort.html template into your current template folder
- Start RealCart (if not already running)
- Navigate to your All Products Department page (if not already there)
- In the Template pull-down menu next to the Address Field in the RealCart program window choose dept-sort.html
- Rebuild your entire store by clicking the Rebuild All button on RealCart’s Small Toolbar.
- Your All Products department can now be sorted by the customer by any column they choose!
