This is the Store Wizard button To get started defining your contact information please click the Shop button on the RealCart toolbar. Then click the Contacts tab.

Working with Contacts

One of the most powerful features of RealCart™ Version 2 is the ability to have unlimited contacts for your on-line store. In an effort to standardize the templates that are available for the program we have reserved the first six (6) contacts on the list to be dedicated to a unique purpose. Click here to familiarize yourself with what these specific contacts should be.

List of Contacts

In the lower half of this dialog box you will notice a list of “Contacts”. You can Edit the first six contacts on your list but you cannot delete them. Our templates are designed to utilize these first six standard contacts in your on-line store. You can also Add or Delete additional contacts. All of the contact information in your store can be utilized on your site by adding the appropriate [Tags] to your pages.

Adding Contacts

To add a contact, just click the Add button. Another dialog box will pop up containing the Contact Information Fields. Add the appropriate contact information like email address, phone and IcQ number. (If you don’t have IcQ, either leave this field blank or download IcQ now.)

How RealCart uses contacts

Note: A contact is only published on your on-line store if you check the small checkbox next to the contact on the contact list.
Contact #1: Webmaster contact.
This contact will appear as the “Webmaster” on the shopping cart help page on your web site if you elect to publish this contact.
Contact #2: Customer Service.
This contact will appear as the “Customer Service Contact” on the shopping cart help page on your web site if you elect to publish this contact. This is also the contact used by the PayPal plug-in. If you want to use the PayPal plug-in be sure that the email you define here is also added to your PayPal account.
Contact #3: Order Desk.
This contact will appear as the “Order Desk Contact” on the shopping cart help page on your web site if you elect to publish this contact.
Contact #4: Cart order email.
This is where orders will be sent if you use our free form mailers. This contact does not appear on the shopping cart help page on your web site even if you elect to publish this contact.

This is also the email address used in conjunction with the PayPal Secure Order Provider methods (not to be confused with the PayPal plug-in). If you want to use PayPal be sure that the email you define here is also added to your PayPal account.
Contact #5: eBay contact info.
This contact will appear as the “eBay Contact” on the shopping cart help page on your web site if you elect to publish this contact.
Contact #6: Toll Free.
This contact will appear as the “Toll FREE number” on the shopping cart help page on your web site if you elect to publish this contact.
Contact #7: Facsimile.
This contact will appear as the “Fax Number” on the shopping cart help page on your web site if you elect to publish this contact.

Editing Contacts

To edit a contact, just click the contact that you want to edit in the Contact List and then click the Edit button. (You can also double-click a contact to edit it.) Another dialog box will pop up containing the Contact Information Fields. You can change any of the fields and then click OK. (If you don’t have IcQ, either leave this field blank or download IcQ now.)

Deleting Contacts

Remember that the first six contacts cannot be deleted due to their use in our templates. If you wish not to display one of these first six contacts in your pages, just uncheck the checkbox next to the contact you do not wish to display. To delete a contact that you have added, just click the contact that you want to delete in the Contact List and click the Delete button. Another dialog box will pop up asking if you are sure you want to delete the contact. Click Yes. Then click OK.

Using IcQ with your contacts

Avoid using the same IcQ number for all of your contacts. RealCart will display all the IcQ numbers you enter so if you enter the same one over and over then you will have more than one IcQ icon which goes to the same IcQ number on your on-line store. This can look a little tacky. For more info on IcQ see the IcQ page later in this chapter.
