What you will need to know before you begin
The purpose of this section is to get you up and running with RealCart in the shortest amount of time possible. This “Quick Start Guide” will attempt to lead you through the entire setup in a short amount of time. If you need help with any of the terms or procedures described in this section simply click on a link to learn more about something.
If you will at least try to get through the entire setup at once there is a good chance you will end up with a fully functional store ready to sell your products in under two hours. At the beginning of each section we will specify how much time you should spend on each wizard. If you will allow yourself to be flexible enough to enter “temporary information” for the settings you do not know you can always return to any of the wizards to make the appropriate changes once you acquire the information you need.
If you would like to begin knowing everything you need to know to successfully install and begin using the cart on your web site there are several configuration settings you will need. Most of this information was probably provided to you when you set up your web hosting account.
With a typical installation you will be expected to know the following things:

Usually a quick email or telephone call to your web hosting provider or company systems administrator can answer all of these questions. When trying to contact the person that will be able to help you just ask for the web server administrator.
If you are using a secure order provider like Authorize.Net or some other payment gateway you will need to know the following things:
If you do not know the needed information as you are initially configuring the shopping cart you can simply enter some temporary information until you can find out the correct info. The goal when installing the shopping cart is to get it up and going as quickly as possible and then fine tune each and every detail AFTER you have completed set-up of a fully functional store at your web site.
We can return to the various wizards to update any of the configuration info that you have entered if you are able to obtain more up to date info.
