Defining department images
If you have already prepared your department images according to the preparation guidelines then it is time to assign the department images to a department in your store.
IMPORTANT If you are not using a theme that supports department images you will not see any of the images you define for your departments. The Sophisticate theme is one such theme that does utilize department images. Try other themes to see which ones allow a department image.
Here is how to define a department image step by step.
You can access the department manager a number of different ways.
- Start RealCart
- Make sure you are using a theme that supports department images as described above.
- If the Department Manager is not already open please open it using one of the following methods.
- From the RealCart menu you can open the Department Manager by selecting Edit/Departments....
- You can also access the Department Manager by right-clicking a department on the left side of the RealCart program window.
- Lastly you can access the Department Manager directly from the Department Tab in the product wizard.
- Once the Department Manager select the department for which you want to assign an image.
- Click the Image... button.
- Click the Browse... button.
- Using the file open dialog that displays navigate to the folder where your department images are.
- When you select an image you should see a preview in the preview area at the bottom of this dialog. (You may not see the entire image.)
- When you find a suitable image and can see the a partial image preview in the dialog click the Open button.
- Click OK.
- Repeat the above steps for each additional department image you wish to assign.
- Click OK.
