Working with Product Features
RealCart allows you to define an unlimited amount of features per product. The features are unique in that they appear on both the department pages and product pages whereas the product description information appears only on the product pages themselves.
When defining a feature try to limit your entry into short and direct features. Do not try to use the features as a place to enter detailed product description, this is done elsewhere in the program.
Typically features will resemble the following:
- UL Listed
- Waterproof
- Includes carry case
- Runs on 4 AA batteries (not included)
Just about any product attribute can be used as a product feature. Let your imagination be your guide. To enter features just follow these steps.
- Start RealCart
- If the product wizard is not already open, double-click a product name on the left side of the screen. (You may have to expand a department branch first by clicking the plus sign [+] next to the department name.)
Click a plus sign to see products
products are now visible
- Once the product wizard is open click the Features tab.
- Type a feature in the New Feature field.
- Hit enter on your keyboard or click the Add button.
- Repeat this process for each feature you want to add.
- Click OK.
Additionally you may rearrange the order of your features by selecting a feature and clicking the tiny up and down arrow buttons located at
the lower left corner of the feature list.
Editing a feature
Select a feature then click the Edit button. Modify the text and click OK. Click OK again to close the product wizard.
Deleting a feature
Select a feature then click the Delete button. Click OK again to close the product wizard.
