Product Options
RealCart allows for powerful pricing options via the Product Options feature. You can have as many sets of product options as you wish, just keep in mind that these options will appear in your product pages in the order you initially enter them into the program.
In a situation where you have several different sizes of one particular product like Pint, Quart and Gallon you will want to specify what your base price is for Pint and then configure the Product Options to add an additional amount if the shopper buys a Quart or Gallon.
The product choice pull-down might resemble this one:
Assuming the price of the Pint is $5.00 then the customer would end up paying $10.00 for a quart ($5 + $5) or $18.00 for a gallon ($5 + $13).
Here is another example. Let’s say you sell cellular telephones. The way you have decided to package your cell phones is with an included car cord charger. If you want to you can offer your telephone package as a complete set with the car charger included. If the customer elects not to purchase the complete package and remove the car charger for credit you can have a product choice “refund” the price of the car cord in a product option. The product choice pull-down menu might look something like this:
If your cell phone package costs $200.00 and your shopper elects to buy the package without the car charger then she would save $20.00 and pay only $180.00 for the telephone.
