Weight for downloadable products
If you sell products that are only available via download then you should configure RealCart for FREE Shipping. Doing this will result in a pull-down menu on your checkout page that looks like this:
If on the other hand you will be offering both downloadable products and tangibles you will want to configure your weight for downloadables as 0 and your tangibles with their actual weight.
This will need to be accompanied by Shipping charges configured for FREE shipping on orders that weigh 0 and to charge for shipping on orders that weigh more than 0. This is easy to do and is fully explained in the Shipping Section of chapter 5 of this manual.
