Product weight
RealCart allows shipping calculations to be tabulated four different ways: Weight, Quantity, Price or Flat Rate. The most popular of these is Weight. Entering accurate product weights for your items is crucial to proper weight-based shipping calculations.
Only numerical input is allowed in the weight field. If you do not plan to use weight-based shipping just enter a 0 for this value.
If you are going to base your shipping on weight then you want to be as accurate as possible.
It doesn’t matter what unit of measure you use as long as you use the same unit of measure for every product in your store. If you want to enter your weight values in ounces then enter all of your weight values in ounces. Pounds? Enter all of them in pounds. RealCart doesn’t care which unit of weight measure you use it will just calculate the total weight and then charge the customer for shipping based on your criteria entered into the Shipping tab on the Checkout Wizard.
