Configuring your server and username
To get started with RealCart’s built-in publishing wizard you will need to specify a few settings. To do this just follow these steps:
- Start RealCart™.
- Open the Publishing Wizard by clicking the Finish button on RealCart’s large toolbar.
- If the program prompts you about “rebuilding all of your pages” click No.
- When the “Server Settings” dialog pops up enter your FTP server as the FTP host addr field.
- Enter your FTP username and FTP password in the appropriate fields.
- If you know what folder to specify as your FTP Initial Directory click the Advanced button. If not, skip this step for now.
- Click the Next > button.
Depending on how you have configured the Server tab of the Checkout Wizard RealCart may attempt to upload the FREE form mailers at this time. Once RealCart establishes a connection to the FTP server and uploads any scripts or exe files it needs to it will request a list of files from the server.
If you cannot connect and get an error instead then close the publishing wizard dialog and try to find out which of the three items you entered for your FTP host address, FTP username or FTP password is incorrect. After you have determined the correct info for these three fields repeat the steps above to try again.
RealCart is ready to publish after it displays a list of files. All you need to do to finish is click the Publish button.
