Publishing your store
Publishing with FrontPage or other editor
RealCarts built-in publishing wizard requires an FTP connection. If you do not have an FTP account on your web server then you may alternatively publish RealCart through FrontPage or other WYSIWYG web page editor. Open your web site with FrontPage. Locate the Import command and click it. (It may be in the file menu.)
If you installed the shopping cart in the default location you will want to import the cart folder located here:
C:\Program Files\RealCart.com\RealCart\Stores\My Store\cart
Do NOT import the My Store or Stores folders, only the cart folder in your stores folder. Also the file rsscmeta.mdb file does NOT go on your web server. The only place it is used is on your local hard drive by the program itself. Do not edit this file. We cannot provide technical support to our users that choose to edit the database file directly.
Make sure to import the cart folder into the root of your web site. (This means to the same folder as the folder that contains your main/front page.) By publishing the cart folder to the root of your web site you will end up with a URL for your on-line store similar to this one:
http://www.YourDomain.com/cart/
If you need more assistance with the import features of FrontPage please consult your documentation for FrontPage. RealCart technical support cannot assist you with matters regarding Front Page publishing. For additional information about customizing the shopping cart with FrontPage please read Chapter 7.
